The International Language Rights Observatory, in partnership with the Canadian Institute for Research on Linguistic Minorities, presents this report on the review of the New Brunswick Official Languages Act.
Prepared by Michel Doucet, Professor Emeritus of Law and former Director of the Observatory, the report outlines the principles that should guide the interpretation of language rights and proposes amendments to the Act, particularly with respect to judicial bilingualism, communications and services, language of work, the health field, professional associations and the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages.
