Francophones in Saskatchewan Turn to the Courts to Obtain Schools

In Saskatchewan, at the start of the 2025 school year, Fransaskois schools are overflowing, and the severe shortage of schools for the province’s Francophone minority has led parents — who are holders of constitutional education rights — to once again turn to the courts to ensure respect for the requirements of section 23 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
